Roger Biduk-Veteriarians Never Blindly Trust Your VetDr. Alicia McWatters, PhD said it best: “Why do some [mostly all!] veterinarians [and now, unbelievably, the AAHA, AVMA, AAFP, NASPHV, BVA, AVA, CVMA, WSAVA, WVA!] misrepresent the benefits of feeding a raw natural diet and promote the practice of feeding an inferior commercial kibble diet [‘prescription diets’]? For many it is ignorance while for others it is more calculated!”

Vets mostly sell Hill’s Prescription Diets and Hill’s Science Diet [both contain shockingly horrible ingredients & guaranteed analysis!] because Hill’s often spends up to $100,000+ being a ‘Platinum Sponsor’ at veterinary conventions, ‘donates‘ big $$$$ to veterinary member associations, ‘donates’ millions of $$$$ each year to vet schools worldwide, especially the 30 vet schools in the U.S. and, as unbelievable as it sounds and as you’ll read from some excellent veterinarians below, Hill’s employees are actually the ones who often “teach” vet students about pet nutrition.. then Hill’s Nutrition salespeople set the graduating students up in their practice with Hill’s Prescription Diets and Hill’s Science Diet… beauty!

Roger Biduk was horrified to learn years ago that most all allopathic veterinarians know almost nothing about cat or dog nutrition but are quick to recommend and sell pet foods [“prescription diets” = big $$$$] such as Hill’s Prescription Diets, Purina Veterinary Diets, Hill’s Science Diet, Royal Canin Veterinary Care Nutrition, Royal Canin Veterinary Therapeutic Formulas, Iams Veterinary Formulas, Eukanuba Veterinary Diets, etc. which often contain horrible ingredients Roger Biduk - Dog Food Poison Bowl With Vetwith little or no meat, are often super-high in carbohydrates, super-low in animal protein and have had recalls from FDA for containing poisonous ingredients and Salmonella!

Pet parents must educate and inform themselves about the misinformation which is the pet industry marketing machine that generates annual quantum revenue of over $100billion+ of $$$$ / year which includes BigPharmaMafia combined with the veterinary industry which includes bad and often dangerous commercial pet foods including veterinarian-sold “prescription diets”, unethical and / or unknowledgeable veterinarians and the AVMA, AAHA, AAFP and NASPHV… all at the expense of the health of your pets and your bank account!!!

Pet parents MUST take note of the recent FDA decision that gives the makers of “prescription diets” [there’s absolutely NOTHING “prescription” about them!] and the unethical veterinary profession the right to police and regulate themselves regarding these dangerous veterinarian-sold pet foods! Consumers and Veterinarians should take note of new FDA Decision

Did your vet tell you that veterinarian-sold formulas from Hill’s Prescription Diet and Hill’s Science Diet were recalled by FDA for containing ingredients from China that sickened and killed untold numbers of cats / dogs by poisoning them with Melamine?… I’m sure your vet forgot to mention that!

Did your vet tell you that on April 14, 2014, Purina, Pedigree and Hill’s Science Diet (veterinarian-sold!) were found to contain cancer-causing aflatoxin! Aflatoxins are considered to be among the most cancer-causing agents on the planet. I’m sure your vet forgot to mention that!

Did your vet tell you that veterinarian-sold Hill’s Prescription Diet was caught (January / 2015):

• Containing very dangerous levels of calcium, three times the legal limit!

Roger Biduk-Dogfood Poison Scull

• Containing very dangerous high levels of mycotoxin risk (mycotoxins are among the most carcinogous substances on the planet!)

• Contained very dangerous numerous bacteria including two the FDA terms “Qualifying Pathogens” posing a “serious threat to public health”! I’m sure your vet forgot to mention that!

Now, why do you think your vet didn’t tell you all that when he / she sold you a bag ($$$$) to cure Fluffy / Fido only to realize weeks or months after that the health problem is still there or has gotten much worse…???… and cha-ching, more $$$$ for your vet to “treat” the problems caused by the”prescription diets”… possibly the beginning of the end for your pet!

Remember, Hill’s Prescription Diet is only sold by veterinarians and the motto of Hill’s Science Diet is “Vets #1 Choice to Feed Their Own Pets”… that should also tell you something about those lousy allopathic vets who sell this garbage!

Now, why do you think your vet didn’t tell you that when he / she sold you a garbage bag of Hill’s Prescription Diet to cure Fluffy / Fido only when you realize weeks after that the health problems are still there or have gotten much worse… and as a result your bank balance is much lower???

Remember, the ancestral diet that dogs have been thriving on is 49% protein, 42%-44% fat and only 4%-6% carbohydrates (none from grains!) while formulas of Hill’s Prescription Diet may be only 14% protein and a mind-boggling 60% carbohydrate (grains, starch, sugar)!!!

“This is what I was taught about nutrition in Veterinary School: I learned NOTHING!
Yet the single most important secret to maintaining health and preventing disease is… NUTRITION!
We were given no formal classes on dog and cat nutrition.
We were told to tell our clients to feed a name brand ‘Good Quality’ dry food [“prescription diets”] such as Science Diet or Iams.

“The ‘funny’ thing is that Hills, which makes Science Diet [and Hill’s Prescription Diet], and the Iams Company both sponsored events at our Veterinary School! We had student Hills and Iams Representatives.

Roger Biduk - Vet nutrition in school“It was all about the “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” mentality.

“We were “taught” that it is difficult to make balanced dog and cat food – and that you should never advocate things like making food at home, or feed raw food [remember, healthy cats / dogs mean zero $$$$ for vets and BigPharmaMafia!].” Dr. Andrew Jones, DVM

“Though I went to a great veterinary school (University of Missouri) that produced exceptionally well-prepared graduates for clinical practice, the bulk of my nutritional education consisted of a few hours per day for one week!
That’s right – a grand total of one week out of four years for a discipline that is now one of the three main pillars of my approach to optimal health for pets!
And that’s not the oddest part. Believe it or not, it was “taught” by a Hill’s Pet Food company representative!” Dr. Michele Yasson, DVM

Imagine that: One day or one week of classes out of a four-year program on commercial pet food “taught and sponsored by pet food companies (such as Hill’s, Purina, Iams, etc.) that supply the vets with the food to sell once they start practicing!

Roger Biduk-Vets Watch Out For BadAll allopathic eterinarians I know recommend and sell pet foods such as Purina Veterinary Diets, Iams Veterinary Formulas, Hill’s Prescription Diets, Science Diet, Eukanuba Veterinary Diets, Royal Canin Veterinary Care Nutrition, Royal Canin Veterinary Therapeutic Formulas and other so-called “prescription diet” foods. If you check the ingredients and guaranteed analysis in these “prescription diets” and read on this web site what these ingredients are doing to the health of your cat or dog, you’ll feel sick to your stomach and find it unbelievable… but believe it!

“An alarming fact of life is that vets receive very little worthwhile training in nutrition. No training in the use of raw whole foods and a biased approach to our understanding of commercially produced pet foods. It is relevant to ask what do many veterinarians really know about pet foods? Unfortunately the answer translates as – not very much. Regrettably, a lack of knowledge concerning nutrition has become the basis for recommending processed pet food!” Read more about this here.

Dr. Wendell Belfield, DVM, says “I have been practicing small-animal medicine for more than 25 years. Every day I see the casualties of pet industry propaganda. But the professors in the teaching institutions of veterinary medicine generally support an industry that has little regard for the quality of health in our companion animals.” Read more about this and more great info on pet nutrition here.

Dr. Alicia McWatters, Ph.D. says “Did you know that your veterinarian gets almost no education on feeding your canine companion? Most universities provide their students with one day of propaganda hosted by a commercial kibble company that sponsors the university!”

Dr. McWatters goes on to say “Why do some veterinarians misrepresent the benefits of feeding a raw natural diet and promote the practice of feeding an inferior commercial kibble diet [“prescription diet”]? For many it is ignorance, for others it is more calculated!”

Imagine that. One day or one week of classes of a four-year  program on commercial pet food sponsored by pet food companies (such as Hill’s, Purina, Iams, etc.) that supply the vets with the food to sell once they start practicing! All allopathic veterinarians I know of recommend and sell horrible “prescription diets” such as Purina Veterinary Diets, Iams Veterinary Formulas, Hill’s Prescription Diets, Science Diet, Eukanuba Veterinary Diets, Royal Canin Veterinary Care Nutrition or Royal Canin Veterinary Therapeutic Formulas?

No corn, wheat, by-product sign“What illnesses and diseases leading to premature death do ingredients like grains, corn, wheat, soy, glutens, by-products, meat / beef and bone meal, animal digest, animal fat and other ingredients in pet foods sold in veterinarian clinics and grocery stores contribute to?

They contribute to a weak immune system, cancer, arthritis, obesity, dental and heart disease, dull or unhealthy coats and skin problems, hip dysplasia, eye and ear problems, fleas and other parasites, gum disease, lick granulomas, thyroid imbalances, personality disorders, birth defects, breeding problems, diabetes, chronic renal failure (CRF), urinary crystals, cystitis (bladder inflammation), balader / kidney stones, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease) and other major and minor illnesses and diseases.

Healthy pet food “What happens when you feed your cat / dog a balanced, enzyme-rich raw meat diet or a commercial diet that resembles one? You get a health, happy cat / dog, happy pet parents and no visits to the dreaded veterinarians office for food-related problems“, says Roger Biduk.

And let’s not forget… there’s the kickbacks from these pet food companies to the veterinarians that has become a huge problem. You can read about it here.

Not only do veterinarians make big money selling these pet foods, $40+/26 lb. or 30 lb. bag is the norm, they make much more money treating your petss when they come down with some illness or disease because many of these pet foods contain “questionable” ingredients that don’t resemble whatsoever what canines or felines would eat in the wild.

Here’s what one of the very best veterinarians in the U.S. has to say regarding the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) recently telling veterinarians to discourage pet owners from feeding raw petfood diets: “Sorry, AVMA, you are all wet on this one. My own raw fed dogs have been healthier for the past 20 years than my clients’ dog food eating dogs. Are we veterinarians promoting health or the pet food industry, with all its recalls, Chinese ingredients, and biologically inappropriate diets? And why in the world is AVMA worrying about what perhaps 2.5% of the pet food market does? Surely there are serious problems affecting more pets than this… how about the jerky treats from China that are actually killing dogs, which FDA refuse to order recalled.”
Dr. Laurie S. Coger, DVM

“I’ve never heard of or know of any cat or dog that’s stayed healthy being fed pet foods containing ingredients in “foods” like Science Diet, Hills Prescription Diet, Royal Canin, Purina, Iams, Eukanuba, ‘Ol Roy or Pedigree, many of these actually being recommended by veterinarians! Conversely, I’ve never heard of or know of any cat or dog that’s been unhealthy being fed a species-appropriate balanced, enzyme-rich raw meat diet or a  commercial diet that resembles one”, says Roger Biduk.
