This is a very thorough and extensive 35 page website about allopathic, holistic and integrative veterinary, cat / dog nutrition and what BigPharmaMafia, bad veterinarians and pet food companies who make very low-quality pet foods don’t or won’t tell you. It will always be a work in progress. The site is sometimes intentionally provocative & outspoken in order to disturb the status quo, which needs to be educated and must be changed! All of the information on this website is fact and has been extensively researched, sourced and documented and is extremely well received by both good veterinarians and pet parents, having had 500,000 hits in a single day!

Roger Biduk; Cancer Causing Preservatives in Pet Foods
May 14th
Roger Biduk “Remember, the diet you feed your cat/dog determines their health and life expectancy more than any other care! Never, never, never, never ever forget this!!! It’s your biggest responsibility as a pet parent!”
BHA, BHT & Ethoxquin are all proven carcinogens and are banned in human foods in most parts of the world. It’s hard to believe but you can find them in very low quality pet foods like Purina, Pedigree and Ol’ Roy.. Never, never, ever buy pet foods with these ingredients. Run away as fast as you can…
BHA (butylated hydroxyanisoleand) and BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) are two preservatives commonly used to keep fats from going rancid as they protect the fats from oxidation. So basically dry pet food could stay on the shelves for years and years without spoiling. News alert people, real food spoils…!
BHA and BHT were originally designed for use in petroleum products and rubber.
-
BHA & BHT are still frequently used in cosmetics, breakfast cereals, frozen dinners, fats, oils, chewing gum, and baked goods.
Ethoxyquin is listed and identified as a hazardous chemical by OSHA(Occupational Safety and Health Association). It has a rating of 3 on a scale of 1 to 6, with 6 being super toxic requiring less than 7 drops to cause death. When manufactured by Monsanto, the containers are marked with the word POISON. Monsanto makes no representations and will not be responsible for damages of any nature whatsoever.
The U. S. Dept. of Agriculture for toxicology information lists ethoxyquin in their Farm Chemical Hand-Book as a PESTICIDE, in the same group as Agent Orange!!!).
Ethoxiquin is banned in Europe as a carcinogen.
Ethoxiquin promotes kidney carcinogenesis, significantly increased incidence of stomach tumors, and enhanced bladder carcinogenesis.
According to Dr. Wendell Belfield, DVM practicing veterinarian for some 26 years, ethoxyquin is suspected of causing cancer and that propylene glycol (a pet food ingredient closely related to anti-freeze) causes destruction of red blood cells.
“The veterinarian industry works closely with the drug multinationals whose only objective is profits, and whose worst nightmare would be an epidemic of good health, such as all cat/dog owners feeding their pets a balanced, raw food diet and never having to go see a veterinarian again because of a food related illness or disease. Lots of drugs MUST be sold. In order to achieve this, anything goes: fraud, kickbacks, lies, etc. Veterinarians are the principal salespeople of the drug companies.” Roger Biduk
BHA causes enhanced stomach and urinary bladder carcinogenesis, causes squamous-cell carcinomas in stomachs.
BHA has been banned in Japan because Japanese studies found it to cause cancerous tumors in rats’ fore-stomachs and in hamsters.
BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene) is an additive that accumulates in the body fat. It is known to cause cancer in animals and disrupt the body’s hormone balance. Laboratory studies have shown BHT causes cancer and results in detrimental reproductive effects in rats.
BHT promotes urinary bladder carcinogenesis, could be a promoter of thyroid carcinogenesis.
BHT is banned for human consumption in Europe, Australia, England, Romania and Sweden.
BHT can cause liver and kidney damage, behavioral problems, infertility, weakened immune system, birth defects, cancer; should be avoided by infants, young children, pregnant women and those sensitive to aspirin.
McDonald’s eliminated BHT from their US products in 1986 due to the harmful effects.
In 1958 & 1963 official committees of experts recommended that BHT be banned in the UK, however due to industry pressure it was not banned.
BUT THERE’S NOTHING IN THE LAW THAT’S STOPPING PET FOOD COMPANIES FROM USING BHT/BHA & ETHOXYQUIN IN THEIR PET FOOD……GO FIGURE!
“Grains are one of the worst ingredients in pet foods because they’re so cheap compared to human-grade meats. Pet owners don’t realize grains can be responsible for many preventable, serious illnesses and diseases leading to premature death such as Chronic Renal Failure (CRF), obesity, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Hepatic Lipidosis (Fatty Liver Disease), Feline Diabetes, Urinary Crystals, Cystitis (bladder inflammation), Bladder/Kidney Stones and Cancer just to name a few.” Roger Biduk
